Terry "Harmonica" Bean is one of Mississippi's hidden treasures: a contemporary hill country bluesman, lifelong resident of Pontotoc, who has created his own distinctive version of the harp-blowing, guitar-grooving one-man band. Although he's long past the dues-paying stage, Bean has played with some of the most important bluesmen to come out of Mississippi in the past two decades: Willie Foster, Booba Barnes, Boogaloo Ames, Big George Brock, Big Jack Johnson, Super Chikan, R. L. Burnside, Junior Kimbrough, Asie Payton, and James “T-Model” Ford. Bean is also a generous and spirited teacher--a veteran of the Acoustic Blues workshop at Centrum in Port Townsend, Washington.
Mississippi Live & the Dirty Dirty are excited to be a part of this event.
